TERMS OF REFERENCE Position Name: ENGLISH TRAINER/VOLUNTEER

Duration: 3 months (starting July 2024)
Working Time: Full-time.
Working Location: Ha Giang Adventure Office - Ha Giang City

WORK CONTEXT: At Ha Giang Adventure, our team consists of experienced guides and community developers dedicated to advancing sustainable tourism in the region. As a company rooted in ethnic minority culture, we offer training opportunities to local community members looking to join our team. Our English communication trainer plays a crucial role in preparing our tour guides with the necessary language skills to effectively engage with our clients and partners. This role involves a diverse range of teaching methods, including in-person and online classes, as well as hands-on practice sessions, all aimed at creating the optimal learning environment for our trainees to enhance their English proficiency.
PURPOSE OF POSITION: To educate young Vietnamese Ethnic minority individuals and impart them with essential English language skills.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Class Preparation
Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities promptly.
Create lesson plans and curricula and modify them accordingly to each unique individuals.
Develop and issue educational content, including notes, tests, and assignments
Class management
Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities promptly.
Create lesson plans and curricula and modify them accordingly throughout the year.
Develop and issue educational content, including notes, tests, and assignments
After class activities
Maintain student accountability and the mental and emotional safety of students (i.e., attendance and behavior management) to encourage a productive learning environment.
Teach the lesson plans based on course objectives.
Teaching students aged 18-35 with an average 5-10 students class size.
REQUIREMENTS
• Open to anyone who is native in English Langauge or command a master of English level
• Purpose-driven with a strong sense of mental independence.
• Be familiar with graphic design and/or video-editing software (e.g. Canva, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Final Cut…);
• Be creative and proactive, with a penchant for communications;
• Well-organized and detail-oriented;
• Full support for the philosophy, purpose and values and culture of Ha Giang Adventure.
ALLOWANCE • 20,000,000 VND/Month + lunch + accommodation.
You would be given a motorbike to travel around + transport back and forth to Hanoi on your weekend.
